Product Description

Vintage Moorcroft Pottery Bowl. Circa 1929-1949.  This beautiful signed Moorcroft pottery bowl is a wonderful example why Moorcroft pottery is so desirable. It is the Iris Orchid pattern, featuring rich reds, oranges, and maroon colors.  The rich, dark cherry tone of the bowl, combined with the vivid raised tubelined Iris flowers and accenting green colors seem to just jump out at you.  Measures 2 1/2" tall, and 5" across. Flambe glaze in perfect condition, with no crazing, and no cracks or chips in the bowl.  In 1928 the Moorcrosft company was honored when Queen Mary, an avid pottery collector and lover of Moorcroft pottery in particular, granted Moorcroft a Royal appointment as Potters to Her Majesty The Queen. This piece is fully market with signature impression, impressed appointment to The Queen, and Made in England.  It has an impressed stamp mark of Moorcroft signature and has “Potter to HM (Her Majesty) the Queen” at the bottom right of the signature. Add this piece to your collection today!
